Vitamin A in a New Age
End-of-Year & End-of-Project Reports
Funded by Global Affairs Canada, the Vitamin A Supplementation in a New Age (VINA) project works across 15 Sub-Saharan African countries to make vitamin A supplementation (VAS) fairer and more effective. Over three years, it aims to reach 41 million children under five with twice-yearly doses, preventing an estimated 17,000 child deaths each year between 2023 and 2025. 
The program's ultimate outcome is lower mortality among children aged 6–59 months, supported by higher VAS coverage through expanded program reach, stronger community engagement, and advances in gender equity.
My work helped make progress towards these goals visible. I built suites of charts for multiple annual reports that traced overall progress and spotlighted individual country successes, showing where VAS is reaching children and where gaps remain. I then turned these reports into slide decks for donors and subject matter experts, helping teams consolidate lessons and plan to accelerate progress and address persistent gaps.
